Balmoral Castle Flag at half-mast at Buckingham Palace after Queen Elisabeth II's death on 09/08/2022. It was with great sadness as I learned about the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I had just woken up and had to shake my head a few times to make sure I was hearing it right. I'm an American by birth with deep Scottish roots. I'm one American that wished that she had been under the reign of Her Majesty The Queen. I've gotten quite a few odd looks for making that statement but the statement is the truth. The Queen was one of my favorite people in the world. I agree with the world right now in saying that she was the world's grandmother. She was a shining example of what women should be.
