 I will not write a love poem about you

Even though you come to mind with every thought

With every mention of love

With things that I can't help to see

Or to hear ....

Or to feel!

Have mercy, sweet daydreams of kindness

For I love her still.

For never shall I feel her embrace,

Her sweet hands touching my cheek ....

Her words haunt me!

Bear me my soul every time I hear your name

And your kindness speaks,

Oh beautiful one!
